I recently wrote Insiders’ Guide to Houston, which Globe Pequot Press published in 2009.
In the process of writing this book, I discovered that my hometown has a resident bat colony, a house made out of beer cans, and some great restaurants, bakeries, and public art that I never knew existed. You know, knowledge that will come in handy if Hasbro ever comes out with Trivial Pursuit: The Houston Edition.
Almost as handy, I suspect, will be the inside scoop I got on the small towns around Houston for my second book, Day Trips From Houston, 13th edition. Globe Pequot Press is publishing that book in the summer of 2010.
As for when Hasbro will release that game: I’ll have to ask.
