Globe Pequot Press published my first book, Insiders’ Guide to Houston, in 2009.
In the process of writing that book, I discovered that my hometown has a resident bat colony, a house made out of beer cans, and some great restaurants, bakeries, and public art that I never knew existed. You know, knowledge that will come in handy if Hasbro ever comes out with Trivial Pursuit: The Houston Edition.
I’m currently in the process of updating Insiders’ Guide to Houston with some new trivia — ahem, my latest and greatest finds. The second edition should hit bookshelves and e-readers in the fall of 2012.
Almost as handy for that elusive edition of Trivial Pursuit, I suspect, will be the inside scoop I got on the small towns around Houston for my second book, Day Trips From Houston, 13th edition. Globe Pequot Press published that book in June 2010.
